What we liked
- + Gives deep black with subtle gradients instead of flat solid black
- + Handy for dark robes and armor where hand highlighting is slow
- + Also works thinned as a heavy shading glaze on other colors
Trade-offs
- - Very dark tone hides detail unless you add edge highlights later
- - Pools easily on flat surfaces, so apply sparingly
